The last Saturday before Christmas. In the olden day's they used to burn big piles of wood and drink lots of beer to celebrate this auspicious day. Well, who am I to knock the olden ways!
So I got me some beers and a good lady hiding in bed with the door barred. Time to get stuck in
Fancy Dan can. No idea what that is on it, a hummingbird? A demonic entity ravening for the flesh of man?
No idea, it's a triple hopped beast from Stewart Brewing with a sturdy 6.4% lurking beneath it's waves. So what does the dread radical road deliver to us?
It wallops out a big velvety head which shows no signs of dissipating. Mmm, looks tasty. I have a swig. I can taste the triple hops right away. This is one hoppy mofo of a beer. A light citrus tang along with it. A good depth and aftertaste which stays with you. Maybe even some grassy passing notes. Top donk! 7.5/10.

Don't fear the Reaper! As someone once sang. This is another triple hopped beer. Only this time it is a red rye beer from the Black Sheep Brewery. A bit weaker than the last one at only 4.1% I have always been fond of a red rye beer. Here's goes!
It's a lovely ruby port-esque colour. Like the blood in American Gods, the TV show of course. The head froths up then trots away, the beer itself remains relatively gassy, thankfully!
It's got great flavourI like it a lot, the rye comes at you over all else, those hops helping out to pack a punch beyond its price tag,was almost going to give it a matching score but decide that it beat it by just a little so it gets an extra bit at 8/10 making it this weeks winner!! Hurrah for the reaper!
