My coffee provider delivered me a non-coffee good. Enjoying a nice cup of beautiful tea.

Well, this was not delivered and paid by the company, but by a friend of our family, who sent us a present via Dabov specialty coffee, from where we get our coffee every time. This was a present for Christmas and apart from a nice coffee and an espresso cup, there was a fancy tea.

I’m not a huge fan of tea drinking. Here in Bulgaria most of the teas that the population is consuming are not real teas. Rather that they are a mix of herbs, which are very helpful for the health, but I’m really not very fond of. The tea from our present was a special one. It’s variety is Geisha, similar to one of the most aromatic coffee varieties. This exact one is a mix of white and green teas.

The water to brew this tea is not supposed to be boiling. It’s ideally at about 92 degrees centigrade and this should be done in order not to extract harsh aromas and tastes from delicate tea leaves. I used the mesh from my broken tea jar and of course one ordinary food jar, where I brew my filter coffee! 😁

The color of brewed tea was very beautiful golden one. I was expecting it to be darker, but I guess being a blend of white and green ones, it’s lighter. The taste was something that I was not expecting. It was very light and delicate, maybe some jasmine, a bit fruity and the tea had a ton of natural sweetness. Not a single harsh or bitter note. Only sweetness and elegance. And although I’m not a huge tea fan, this one I enjoyed a lot. Definitely gonna brew some of it from time to time.
