It’s Saturday morning again and as usual my children are up and awake early. I have to mention that this morning it was 7:30 when the little guy popped up, instead of his usual time - 6:30. This is one hour more sleep, but it’s maybe due to the fact that he was awake one hour or more in the night. 🤯
Now they both seem happy and play in their little play field.
It’s good when they stay inside, because all the toys are staying inside and are not spilled all around the floor of the living room. As the little guy is getting bigger they seem to start playing more. Yet, as the little one is still not able to walk, they have very limited list of games and activities that can do together.
So as soon as they are playing inside, I have a bit of a time gap to enjoy my morning coffee. Although I prefer V60 filter coffee early in the morning, it’s still one new coffee from my last purchase, and it’s an espresso ground one. It’s time now to check what’s in the package.
It’s a Kenyan coffee. I have to mention that all of the Kenyan coffees that were imported by the Dabov Specialty Coffee team were a pretty good tasting ones. I cannot remember a single coffee from this country that was not special and interesting in taste, so I’m really excited about this one. It was revealed about month or so ago, so it’s one of the newly additions in the portfolio.
The listed rates are black currant, vanilla and dark chocolate. I chose to go espresso grind with this coffee, because I already had 2 picks about my V60 brewer. I’m pretty sure that the Kenya Kamwangi AA will taste very special on a filter too!
So let’s brew the coffee and see what’s really in the package!
The initial reaction after opening the packaging was very good. I was really able to catch the black currant aroma inside. After brewing the taste was even more intense and pronounced. The vanilla flavor is like gentle touch to the main fruit flavor, and in the aftertaste comes a very deep chocolate mouthfeel. Although the taste is generally fruit forwarded, the finish is a bit classic like.
I really liked this coffee a lot and although not being so pricey, it’s very tasty and really worth of buying.
That’s for now, have a nice weekend and see you soon!
