It’s Saturday.
It’s early in the morning.
In my normal life I would sleep in the bed and worry for nothing at all.
But it’s my happy life and now I’m gonna be enjoying my espresso shot with my six-month-old son! He is not a good night sleeper and tends to be anxious almost all night long these days. My wife gets the shift up to 5:00 in the morning and then it’s my time to be awake.
Normally, I will prefer a V60 filter coffee, as you may know from my recent posts in the community, but now I decided to have an espresso. I will share the joy of the tasty V60 with my wife later, when she wakes up. Yes, I had the chance to have a warm V60 cup now, but that way, she was going to have it cold. That’s not the way to enjoy the coffee, right?
The coffee now is from Honduras and is called Finca El Puente. I presume that this is the name of the farm, when the coffee originates.
My espresso maker is not a professional one, but gets the work done nicely. When the coffee is of good quality and has a nice aroma, the brewing machine is not of great importance.
This coffee blends some nice dark chocolate flavors with a nice nutty taste, mainly hazelnuts. The finish is a bit sweet, dried plum in the aftertaste. This is one of our favorite coffees for espresso brewing, and every month we buy one packet of this variety.
That’s all for now, I’ll continue my happy morning with the little boy, waiting for my wife to wake up. Then I’ll enjoy the second cup of coffee - this time a V60 one.
