Hi photography Lovers!

Yesterday I went to visit the Center for Studies and Research of Fine Arts CEIBA by its Spanish acronym. The CEIBA is an institution where they form professionals in various artistic branches. It is an icon in the state, was founded in 1985 and since then great local and national painters have graduated there, they also are responsible for organizing artistic activities in the city. The fact is that I went to accompany a friend who wants to register for a painting workshop. But they are not working yet because of the pandemic.

While she was finding out about her business I set out to take pictures of all the murals that are in the place, some were painted by students and others by the teachers, they were complete walls of paintings, some allegorical to the day of the dead and others about the ancient civilizations that inhabited Mexico although in some they mixed the ancient with the modern of the city of Villahermosa.

They also have an art gallery that in normal times is open to the public, unfortunately it was closed yesterday. However, I believe that the murals are as spectacular as the paintings. I hope you enjoy these pictures!

Hola amigos amantes de la fotografía!

Ayer fui a visitar el Centro de Estudios e Investigación de las Bellas Artes CEIBA por sus siglas en español. El CEIBA es una institución donde forman profesionales en varias ramas artísticas. Es un ícono en el estado, fue fundado en 1985 y desde entonces grandes pintores locales y nacionales se han graduado ahí, también ellos se encargan de organizar actividades artísticas en la ciudad. El hecho es que fui a acompañar una amiga que se quiere inscribir para un taller de pintura. Pero aún no están trabajando por motivos de la pandemia.

Mientras ella averiguaba su asunto yo me dispuse tomar fotos de todos los murales que hay en el lugar, algunos fueron pintados por alumnos y otros por los maestros, eran paredes completas de pinturas, algunas alegóricas al día de muertos y otras sobre las civilizaciones antiguas que habitaron Mexico aunque en algunas mezclaron lo antiguo con lo moderno de la ciudad de Villahermosa.

También tienen una galería de arte que en tiempos normales esta abierta al público, lamentablemente ayer estaba cerrada. Sin embargo creo que los murales son tan espectaculares como los cuadros. Espero disfruten de estas fotografías!
