One of my favorite things to do is to eat out, especially if I am accompanied by friends and family members.

This weekend my husband's nephew invited us to have breakfast at a place they already knew and loved, this place is popular in Queretaro Mx, known as Jardin de Cerveza or Biergarten.

It is a Hacienda whose construction dates from the seventeenth century, at that time it was a mill, years later the daughter of the owner of the mill, installed a factory of wool fabrics and that is how eventually became a textile factory called "La Fabrica de Hercules". This building has changed owners over the years and remained closed for quite some time. Although the factory now operates with few workers, a craft beer brewery was also built on the same site, which has become a popular place for locals and tourists alike.

Una de las cosas que más me gusta es comer afuera, y más cuando estoy acompañada de familia y amigos.

El fin de semana un sobrino de mi esposo nos invito a desayunar en un sitio que ellos ya conocían y que les había encantado, este sitio es popular conocido en Querétaro Mx, como Jardin de Cerveza or Biergarten.

Se trata de una Hacienda cuya construcción data del siglo XVII, para esa época funcionaba un molino, años después la hija del dueño del molino, instaló una fabrica de tejidos de lana y es así como con el tiempo se convirtió en una fabrica de textiles llamada "La Fabrica de Hercules." Esta construcción ha cambiado de dueños con el paso de los años y permaneció cerrada por un buen tiempo. Aunque ahora funciona la fabrica con pocos trabajadores también se le dió vida en el mismo lugar a una fabrica de cerveza artesanal, la cual se convirtió en un lugar concurrido por los habitantes y los turistas.

In addition to selling beer, there is also a small restaurant with a varied menu of typical Mexican food. My companions ate red and green chilaquiles and I ordered some molletes. The molletes are slices of toasted bread covered with mashed fried beans and manchego cheese au gratin, I also ordered ham on them, of course, you can not miss the hot sauce and pico de gallo with jalapeño peppers. All that combination makes your taste buds explode!

Además de vender cerveza también hay un pequeño restaurant con un menú bien variado de comida típica mexicana. Mis acompañantes comieron chilaquiles rojos y verdes y yo en cambio pedí unos molletes. Los molletes son rebanadas de pan tostado cubiertas con puré de frijoles fritos y queso manchego gratinado, adicionalmente pedí jamón sobre ellos, por supuesto no puede faltar la salsa picante y el pico de gallo con chile jalapeño. Toda esa combinación hace explotar tus papilas gustativas!

Coffee is a must in a breakfast, I am a fan of coffee, but I like it better with milk. Here you can have freshly ground coffee, pot coffee or machine coffee, with or without caffeine. I am a coffee junkie so I prefer it with caffeine and for a change I ordered it with freshly ground coffee, delicious!

El café no puede faltar en un desayuno, yo soy fanática del café, pero me gusta más con leche. Aquí puedes tomar café recién molido, café de olla o de máquina, con o sin cafeína. Yo soy una drogadicta del café así que lo prefiero con cafeína y para variar lo pedí con café recién molido, delicioso!

So as not to despair while waiting for breakfast, we ordered freshly baked breads, here in Mexico is very famous a bread called shell bread is ideal to accompany any breakfast, is the one you see below in the larger photo, it is not recommended if you suffer from diabetes because the shell that covers the bread is pure sugar with cinnamon or chocolate, it is a very sweet bread but very good with coffee, of course, doughnuts and chocolate bread are not to be underestimated! 😋

Para esperar el desayuno con más paciencia ordenamos panes recién horneados, aquí en Mexico es muy famoso un pan llamado pan de concha es ideal para acompañar cualquier desayuno, es el que ven abajo en la foto más grande, no es un pan recomendable si sufres de diabetes pues la concha que cubre el pan es de pura azúcar con canela o chocolate, es un pan muy dulce pero muy bueno con cafecito, claro que también, unas donas y un pan de chocolate no son para nada despreciables! 😋

Well, the answer is very simple, none of us are beer drinkers, the day was cold and what we really wanted was a hot coffee. Aunque las instalaciones del lugar son muy antiguas, esta muy bien conservado. Lamentablemente no pudimos ver las instalaciones de la fabrica desde su interior, por ser domingo estaban cerradas al publico.

Y ustedes se preguntarán ¿Por qué esta gente no tiene fotos de las cervezas? ¿Cómo pueden ir a un sitio así y no tomar cerveza? Pues la respuesta es muy simple, ninguno de nosotros es bebedor de cervezas, el día estaba frio y lo que realmente queríamos era un cafecito caliente. Tal vez otro día visitemos este lugar en la tarde y así pueda traerles fotos de las cervezas. 😉

My impression of the place was good, I don't rate it as excellent because the tables were unstable and moved too much when we were eating, they take a long time to bring the food and the chilaquiles were cold when they served them, although they kindly warmed them up after we asked for them. I have no complaints about my molletes, I can only say that they were very tasty. All in all I think I would recommend the place, if you are not a very picky person.

Mi impresión del lugar fue buena, no la califico como excelente porque las mesas estaban inestables y se movían demasiado cuando estábamos comiendo, se demoran mucho en traer la comida y los chilaquiles estaban fríos cuando los sirvieron, aunque amablemente los calentaron después que se los pedimos. De mis molletes no tengo ninguna queja, solo puedo decir que estaban muy sabrosos. A pesar de todo creo que recomendaría el lugar, si no eres una persona muy exigente.
