When I first saw Dice cards and its new abilities I did not think much of them. Then as I earned some reward cards that had Oppress I took some interest into the ability.
What is Oppress?
With Oppress the monster will be able to deal double damage when attacking a monster that has no attack. It may seem useless as the ability effects only a small portion of cards since not many have no attack. However some of the most sought after monsters are used as tankers.
Tankers' That are Weak Against Oppress
Common - Rewards - Gelatinous Cube
Epic - Rewards - Onyx Sentinel
Legend - Rewards - Lord Arianthus
Legend - Rewards - Almo Cambio
The above cards listed are often used as tanker monsters. Monsters with Oppress will deal double damage to these tank monsters. So it is somewhat a surprise to think that there could monsters that can knock out the great Lord Arianthus with one hit if they have Oppress.
Monsters With Oppress
7 monsters can have the ability Oppress and 5 out of the group are reward cards. This means most likely players can earn a card with Oppress just by playing the game often.
Captain Ghost at max level can have a magic attack of 4 and since its water splinter there is summoner Alric that can boost this all the way up to 5 attack.
Lunakari Mistress another max level with magic attack at 4. With Oppress by default Lunakari will be a definitely foe to any of those tankers listed earlier.
Conclusions
Oppress is really beneficial specifically to take out the best tankers in the game. Yet it becomes pretty much a non-factor ability outside the no attack monsters. It is worth mentioning beyond just the tankers with no attack there are also other monsters that can be good targets when using Oppress.
In combination of the tankers mentioned earlier there are a total of 11 cards that have no attack in the game currently.
Its nice to know that there is a counter on monsters that have specifically no attack. Next time you face a no attacking monster and can not seem to take them out look into using Oppress.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!
