In the past month or so there is nearly a full million Chaos packs burned. This has lead to a smaller supply of cards that could be potentially used to level up cards to max. So you would think that a max set of cards would increase in value with supply shrinking. For now it is happening with opposite effect and more likely due to crypto bear market than the shrinking card supply.
Splintercards.com is listing a full max level Chaos set valued under $3k. More accurately from monstermarket.io just above $3.4k.
So is it a bargain now to be getting Chaos cards if I have yet to complete a max set? The short answer is a resounding yes. Long answer is depends on my greatest needs.
Priorities
Having seen how much DEC price has fallen recently and my weakening revenue from card rentals I am left having a lack of liquidity to purchase cards that I am very interested in earning.
Even just trying to purchase the last of the Chaos rare summoners for me has been a challenge in recent weeks and I am afraid it will remain allusive to me for the time being. I am accumulating funds but at the same time the funds are devaluing making it difficult to make the purchase.
I have some choices I can make. For instance convert DEC into credit so at the very least limit the downside if I expect to be saving up for some cards to purchase in the near term. However the drawback is if DEC rises all of a sudden I would have taken additional loses for converting them into credits.
Another option is simply bite the bullet and spend more now in hopes I can recoup the spending a lot faster with winning cards at my disposal. This has a drawback in that I am still limited in the only liquid funds I have to spend.
A final option is simply do nothing and continue to wait it out in hopes that card prices remain this low while I earn daily liquid DEC and SPS to be saved for future card purchases. I have been performing the third part of this and for now has proven to be a viable option.
