When you look at RAD you will see that it is directly from Double Fine Studio, because the graphics and colors of the game call for it. They are of the roguelike type which is not famous compared to other types. The game will undoubtedly take its place among games of this genre, but it will not be enough to make you love this style if you are not already a fan.

The game was built in the eighties and the word "rad" was used frequently in that period and means "wonderful." After several unsuccessful attempts on me while playing the game, the game announcer told me out loud that I am not really “rad- great”. This really hurt my feelings. This announcer repeated that I am not a Rad many times because the game is really difficult, so I decided to challenge myself and use all my forces until the announcer told me that I am “wonderful”. I will admit to you that I am not a professional player when it comes to rougelike games but I will blame the luck and random abilities that I got during my experience, yes, of course, that's why.

In RAD you will try to save the world two consecutive times, so it's no surprise that things are not promising to humanity. That's why the so-called Minders gave you the task of finding a new source of energy that will help humankind regain the power on their planet. Surely this task is huge and you expect that it will be with you a lot of weapons and life points during your trip true? No. You'll start with a baseball bat and just three hearts - that's all. Sure, you will get really powerful transformations but if you don't die quickly and you upgrade your character. And when you die, all this will end - you and your digital character will return to the starting line without any transformations or skills.

I'll be the first to admit that rad - or rougelike games with a general casel - often looks miserable on paper. But when roguelike games come up-to-date and offer a lot of content like Enter the Gungeon or Dead Cells, you'll enjoy it. Although the game will punish you severely without thinking for a second, you will continue to return for more colorful torment not only because you enjoy the torture of a video game but because the damned Rad game is fun and interesting. Sometimes I won't lie to you when I die in a trivial or unexpected way. The first thing I do is get out of the game, but I always found my way back to it after long moments of anger.

The fighting system in the game is fun and exciting, especially when you upgrade the character of your choice where you will get random shifts (abilities) each time you play and will be able to use three shifts at the same time. Exploring the world is fun, but it can be repeated at times, but you will always know that there is a challenge ahead of you and it is interesting. When you think you've become a professional in the game, RAD will throw you in a place full of monsters that you have to fight at the same time, if you feel extreme pain, but this will never ruin your enjoyment.

Visually, the game looks really pretty. When you see characters, language and techniques as well as pop culture spread throughout the game you will know that the world ended sometime during the 1980s. The game uses this fact to shape the world like this without becoming vulgar or ridiculous. For example, you collect cassettes to use as currency, and floppy disks will allow you to unlock the boxes and cave entrances. Big TVs are ubiquitous in the game environment and there are plenty of arcade devices (if you hit them you might get something, consider it a tip), and because of the neon lights that were famous at that time, you will really enjoy the colorful game world.

As for the style of play, you will definitely need skill to progress but your success depends heavily on luck. One of my most successful times in the game was based on the excellent transformations I got, where I could throw my head as a shotgun and I had the cancer body and the ability to hold enemies for milliseconds, these random abilities were perfectly synchronized with each other. But some other times I had very bad shifts and I couldn't get through the early stages of the game.

As you progress and die in the game you will be able to unlock new items and weapons you can use in addition to the possibility of keeping the cassettes in the bank to be able to use them even if you die, in the main game center there is a dealer to expand his shop more as you progress in the game. RAD gives you a lot of things to help you in your mission to save the planet, but as in real life, a lot of things depend on luck rather than experience.

But even when you die and lose all your transformations - especially the creature sitting on your back and beating enemies - and even if you don't get the transformations needed to increase your progress, the game announcer will be with you to help you enjoy more. Some people might get tired of hearing that deep, strange sound that shouts “Floppy Key!” When you pick up a floppy disk or when he calls “Paaaaaaused” when you get to the stop list over and over again, but that made me enjoy the game more especially when he told me that Great to make me feel like I have achieved something inside the game. Yes, he certainly mentioned several times that I am “not a rad” but I forgave him quickly.

You can say that I loved and enjoyed the game RAD, although I walked away from it for many times, but I always returned to experience more challenge in the colorful world ending. But let me show you one thing: if you are not a fan of roguelike and random skills and abilities, Rad is not enough to change your mind about this pattern as she takes things as usual and presents them a little differently but in the 1980s. So if you hate Enter the Gungeon and you're not a fan of The Binding of Issac, I advise you to stand too far from Rad. If you are an old player and a fan of this type of game, I would definitely try it out because Double Fine Studio and Bandai Namco gave us a fun game for this generation.

very good

RAD offers a great experience like the game Rogelike because of the challenges and transformations and we recommend you to try it if you are a fan of this type, although you will curse it sometimes because of the randomness that ruin your progress.
