It's a beautiful Sunday. I want to share with you what I learned from Pst.Dr. Adeniyi Timothy
He enlightened us on who the Holy Spirit is.
WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
1.He is a person Acts13:2
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
2.He is a comforter John14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever
3 He is the container of the power of the God head .Genesis1:1-2
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
WHY DO YOU NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT?
1 in order to live a holy life.
Galatians5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
- in order to know how to pray
Romans8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- In order to witness Christ
- in order to run heavenly race to the end
5 in order to accomplish divine assignment. Jeremiah1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Also, I want to use this medium to wish my followers and other steemians around the world a happy and bliss Sunday.
