Are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: Different from Each Other?//Mcgi Topic Review ( Part 2)

Greetings everyone, and welcome once again to my blog. Today, we continue our study of the Scriptures and learn more about the relationship between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit through the teachings shared by Bro. Eli Soriano.

Another passage that shows the distinction between the Father and the Son is found in the prayer of Jesus before His crucifixion. In John 17:1–5, Jesus lifted up His eyes to heaven and prayed to the Father. He asked the Father to glorify Him and spoke about the glory He shared with the Father before the world existed.

This prayer clearly presents a conversation between two distinct persons. Jesus was on earth speaking, while the Father was in heaven listening to His prayer. If the Father and the Son were the very same person, such communication would be difficult to explain. Instead, the passage demonstrates a real relationship between the One praying and the One being addressed.

The Scriptures also show that Jesus consistently acknowledged the Father as the One who sent Him. In John 8:42, Jesus said, “I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.” The existence of a sender and one who is sent further reveals distinction between the Father and the Son.

Likewise, the Holy Spirit is presented as distinct from both the Father and the Son. In John 14:16, Jesus said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” In this verse, Jesus speaks of Himself, the Father, and the Comforter—the Holy Spirit—as distinct entities involved in God's work for believers.

These passages help us understand that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are revealed in Scripture as distinct from one another. They communicate, cooperate, and fulfill different roles, yet they work together in perfect harmony according to God's will.

As we continue studying the Bible, we gain a deeper appreciation of God's wisdom and the way He reveals Himself through His word. Careful examination of the Scriptures allows believers to build their faith on biblical evidence rather than on human assumptions or traditions.
