Violence against men

I am writing this as this is something I am passionate about and can't see any logical understanding of reasons people give. I am feeling totally alone with my thoughts and started to question myself even when I know I must be right. I feel like I must be from a different planet for having views different to everyone else and when I challenge others who respond to my views they do a runner and cant explain to me why it's ok the other way around.

What am I talking about I am talking about violence against men.

My questions are as follows:-

1. Why is violence against men laughed at and not taken seriously?
2. Why are men treated as a lower class citizen when they defend themselves when a woman is attacking them?
3. Why should a man have to put up with a woman hitting him?
4. Why do people see it impossible for the man to be the underdog?
5. Why do people seem to think a woman can do no wrong?
6. Why are the hardly any rescue shelters to support men and children, victims of domestic violence?

I don't class myself as a feminist and never will. I class myself as an equalist I support equal rights, freedom of choices and equal punishments under the law. I also believe we need to end violence against all parties.
