Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing you my design for this second Ecency Art contest, the last time I made a promotional clip and a traditional illustration edited with my phone. This time I wanted to make something different so I decided a digital banner to @ecency where appears their pet but adding something different so I used the same style but like a "version of me" sharing a message for the community.

Then the steps by steps:

First drawing the background like waves and sea bottom, in this part I was looking for nice and friendly shades of blue. I added algae for a better atmosphere. The idea was simulate an ecosystem like Hive.

Then I started with the character following the Ecency mascot style, that's why I used gradient fill to give it a little volume effect. How is a version of me, I put it my glasses and yellow eyes that I use in my illustrations. With a pleasant face that conveys a positive message.

Later I added a phone alluding to functionality as an application and social network, a megaphone to make a clear sense of conveying a message with a strong voice 📢.

The set of layers that I made for the chest was quite extensive 😆, but I liked the result, the idea was to place there icons related to what you see in the Ecency app and the earnings using it. And alluding to the set of actions that are well known by hivers and non-hivers (comment, like, reblog, etc) and have in common social networks

To finish I placed some bubbles and the phrase welcoming Ecency.

This is a version without the text so you can use it with other phrases according to what do you want to say ~.

¡Hola a todos!

Hoy les comparto mi diseño para este segundo Ecency Art contest, la vez pasada hice un video promocional y una ilustración tradicional editada en el teléfono. En esta ocasión quise hacer algo diferente y decidí hacer un banner en digital para @Ecency en el que apareciera su mascota, pero agregándole algo diferente así que me basé en el estilo de dibujo de su mascota e hice "una versión mía" dando un mensaje a la comunidad.

A continuación le muestro el paso a paso del proceso:

Paso a paso

Primero dibujé el fondo que parecieran olas y el fondo marino, en esta parte quise tonos de azul agradables y amigables.
Añadí los detalles de algas para dar mayor ambientación. La idea era simular un ecosistema como el de Hive.

Luego empecé a dibujar el personaje siguiendo el estilo de la mascota, por eso usé relleno con degradados para dar un poco el efecto de volumen al personaje. Como se supone que es una versión mía, le agregué mis lentes y los ojos amarillos que suelo usar en mis ilustraciones. Con gestos amigables que transmitan un mensaje positivo.

Posteriormente añadí un teléfono aludiendo a la funcionalidad de Ecency como app y red social. El megáfono para hacer una clara sensación de que dice algo con voz fuerte 📢.

El conjunto de capas que hice para el cofre fue bastante extenso 😆, pero me gustó el resultado, la idea era colocar allí íconos relacionados a los que se ven el la app de Ecency y las ganancias usando la misma. Y aludiendo al conjunto de acciones que son bien conocidas por hivers y no hivers (comentar, dar me gusta, reblogueo, etc) y tienen en común las redes sociales.

Para finalizar coloqué unas burbujas y la frase dando la bienvenida a Ecency.

Esta versión es el mismo banner pero sin texto para que pueda ser usado con otras frases acordes a lo que se quiera trasmitir~.

Espero que estén muy bien mientras están creando cosas geniales. Quiero agradecer a @ecency por esta oportunidad, a @barbara-orenya, @melinda010100 y todos por organizar esta actividad.
