Well, I would, to some extent, want to generalize this, because I believe a lot of us, if not all of us, have been guilty of it at one time or another in our lives.
I mean, a lot of us do things in private when nobody is watching, and they are things we wouldn't or never admit to doing. Most we do alone; some we do in the company of others.
And it's not necessarily that it should be a bad thing. I, for one, often talk to myself when I'm alone. I will be the one asking the questions, and I will still be the one answering. This same me will be the one referring myself to who to ask or where to seek and look for the answer. I argue with myself a lot. There are times I even divide myself into three, ask a question, and give different answers.... Omo enh, the struggle 😁
Also, I remember when I was in school, I knew I had nothing at home, but I would still go over to those small paint buckets I'd put my raw foodstuffs in to check if anything was there; I could do that like five times in a day as if I was expecting something to have disappeared in there already.
So, what I'm saying isn't that you're doing a bad thing; you don't want others to see. There are things that we do too that aren't bad, but then we don't want others to see or know of. Have you ever been alone at home singing, and then someone knocked or entered and you stopped it? Why did you? Was it because of your voice, or do you just not want them to hear you singing? Haven't you ever sat down to rehearse a conversation, also giving yourself the best reply and how to handle it? Tell me how many of it later happened. These are things we often do when we are alone.
All these habits, even though funny, are all a part of us. All of these are what make us human. We don't need to be always serious, yeah; as humans, we aren't wired that way. There's some bit of weirdness that comes out too, some you wonder at the end of the day if this is you, or why you had to do that.
