My daughter Rachel has worked for me several years cleaning pools. Now she is getting an education on more technical items related to pool equipment installation. I hope all of you can learn and enjoy.rachel texas.jpg

First, make sure the motor you are removing needs replacing, in this case it is pretty obvious. The salt and oxidation have completely taken over.

Rachel checks the voltage of the existing motor via a standard voltage meter. This is a standard 1hp pool motor with adjustable voltage switch, (black knob back of motor) this motor is 115v. Three wires get securely installed to back of motor.

Allign new motor with pump housing, I always recommend using some type of silicone lubricant for the 2 gaskets, one on pump face plate and one on the diffuser o-ring. The new motor and face plate attach to pump with four 9/16 inch Bolts.
Once the motor is attached, re-prime the pot assembly with bucket of water. Check for any leaks around face plate or pump.

Rachel did a great job on this motor Install, I am really proud of her. The customer was very satisfied. I hope all the you enjoyed. Thank you.
