Hi there all Hivians, Hivists, Apiarists or whatever we are now. It's great to be away from all that drama finally and people can now concentrate on blogging, building and curating. Really looking forward to doing all three, building on my photography blog, maybe creating a new dev and home automation blog as well as doing the usual stuff that is required when running one of the great curation guilds on HIVE, @c-squared.
I've also got some plans to do some dev work
It's been a lovely day today in the UK and considering the only place we can really venture out to is the back garden, I spent a bit of time bug hunting. You can always tell you have had a good macro session when you end up with dirty knees from trying to get in the right position. All of these were taken with the Canon 90D and Sigma 105 Macro lens. Also had the Raynox 250 attachment on for the first time in anger and I am well chuffed with the results.
This is one of my favourite fly shots. Pin sharp, love the composition.
I think this is some kind of wasp but not sure. Must have been a max of 5mm in size. The quality of the 90D/Sigma/Raynox is impressive in that you can even see the pollen on the antennae.
Finally, something a bit more abstract with these anthers covered in pollen inside a magnolia flower.
Hope you like these images, looking forward to getting more involved in Hive as it goes places I'm sure.
Thanks for looking
Mark
