Good day everyone!
It has been a long while since I last posted. I have been very busy with life and I could not write anything. I wanted to share with you what I have been up to and finally I had the time, and I knew what I wanted to write about.
First off, We went home to the Philippines last June 2022, and in May 2022 for the whole month, we did the preparation for the June vacation. It was a stressful month of May and all I wanted to do when we got to the Philippines was relax.
Our flight was scheduled on June 5, 2022, and we have a whole lot of itineraries. I managed to skate a bit, but I did not get to film videos. I let my friend @allan film and edit the video. It was a long three and a half years since I last visited my home country because of the COVID19 situation, finally we got the chance we immediately booked it.
After landing, on our way to my house, we did a stop over to get some refreshments and I saw this crew skating on the side of the streets. Hahah It reminded me of how we were when we started skating. Skate anything! Hahah.
Finally home, I set up my old ledge but did not skate yet, I rested and just pulled it outside so that when people comes we can easily bring it out the gates. It was a tiring 10 hours of flight and almost 2 hours of drive.
My set up, this is a bit old. hahah. I did not buy a new board which was a big mistake. It affected my pop and the board felt soggy! hahah. never gonna do that again!
I had a great skate session with the old crew, first we skated my ledge which I Ieft there back in February 2019. The ledge was great until after a long session of full 3 hours, it started to fall apart. In allan’s video, it was swaying, and one of the legs of the ledge was protruding up on the upper plywood. Then my friend Lawrence made a big hole on it when he was trying the back 50-50. It was a funny scene. After this session, I planned to restore it and make it usable before I leave again.

Next session was in the Santana basketball court. This is their current spot, and the schedule was morning 6AM to 9AM. I had to wake up early and leave the house at 5:30AM so that I wlll not be late. I had limited days and time to skate with the gang, so I tried to go up early. Then again, Allan has all the videos of this sessions.

This below the last session I get to skate before I left and went back to Abu Dhabi. It was great and fun.

It was great catching up with the crew and the sessions was as fun as before. I was not happy with some of my tricks as I felt like I was limited to what I can do because of the ground in the Philippines. I was so used to skating smooth skate parks and the sense of skating rough concrete have left me and I really had a hard time adjusting speed and pop. I was lucky enough to skate with the TWS crew for four times. It was great to have session with old friends again.
My Friend Michael, He did not get to skate with us as he is very busy. He dropped by my house and I gave him some stuff.
We had a little drink and had a great chat about what's going on with him and his life.
Some TWS mugs I had made. I gave them to the crew and the print was really good.
I hope me and my family will get to get back next year. This was a great vacation!
Cheers!
