I want to share with you this skate edit I made a couple of months back.This edit is on black and white, I just thought to try a different approach and see how it turns out. We skated the local park and the ledge spot on this edit. We filmed each other and we really had a great time!
This edit features TJ and his newly learned trick the backside boardslide. I was teaching him to slide but we had the problem that he was goofy and I was regular. He had a hard time to learn as I was doing the trick on the other side of the rail. I really want him to learn the boardslide so that he can have a new trick. So I had this solution to have myself doing a BS boardslide but in goofy stance. I tried to pop goofy into the rail and I just did it after trying and He was able to imitate how I did it. By the way, TJ started to skate at age 36 so I was pretty happy that he learned it on the same day I taught him!
Looking back at this edit was really great. the movement from filming gives a better feel and view of the skate trick. Hopefully we can film more stuff like this.
