Julian Family
While I’m browsing my gallery in my cellphone, I found these photos.This was taken last 3 years ago. It’s our family reunion. Every year we have gatherings on my grandfather side, he has 8 siblings and each of his siblings own family are attending our reunion ( it’s a huge clan guys) And each family brings food and gifts. We have also a color coding for each family ( Ours is violet as you can see on my photo ) before we start the program we’ll make sure all the attendees has a name plate.
We used to put nameplates because some of them are new member of our family so it is easy for us to know and familiarized each other especially for the kids.
We are also arranging some games for the kids and adults, each family should have representative to perform, like they will sing or dance and the winner will receive gifts or cash. It’s nice to see them happy, chatting to each other, telling stories like the history of our family. How my great grandfather and great grandmother met. My uncles, aunties and cousins enjoyed singing in the karaoke. The whole clan is having fun, we have a lot of different activities. Kids are enjoying playing to each other.
At lunch time we put all the foods in the long table. We pray and ate together. All foods are delicious, my aunties and my mother are good in cooking :)There a lot of food :D. It has bread, pizza, main courses, desserts (native desserts),and pasta. (Oh My tummy was really satisfied that time Lol )
This reunion was arranged a long ago, I’m not yet born when this kind of gathering was established and organized. This tradition is very important to us especially we are a big family so at least when we bump each other in the road we knew that we are relatives. This reunion was given us the chance to know each other and to tighten our bonds. We will cherish and pass this tradition to our future children and grandchildren, we will teach them what our ancestors taught us, the value of family will always remain to us.

Some people think a big family is an ache in head, some thinks the more the merrier, but for me, a big family is a gift from God, and they are my reliable source of trust and happiness. FAMILY is a blessing whether it is big family or small family. And I’m proud because our family from my grandfather side is still growing :D
