4 June 2026, Freewriters Community Daily Writing Prompt Day 3124: it’s in the other aisle

It’s in the other aisle
A chill ran through my body, my mind unable to decipher what was happening. I felt a bad sensation; that uncertainty of not knowing what lay in the next hallway suffocated me.
That dark hallway, full of shadows and mysteries, seemed inhabited only by silence, a silence that made noise and chilled my soul. Sometimes I heard footsteps, other times I only imagined them. I was losing my mind; my thoughts were beginning to unravel. I was anchored to that hallway that felt endless, or so it seemed, but soon the end was approaching.
My body and mind had the strength to get there, but at times my limbs began to weaken, uncoordinated, acting without posture or balance. Something strange was in the next hallway. There was no way to know beforehand. The cracks that weren't there hinted at something sinister about to happen.

Está en el otro pasillo. Un escalofríos rodeaba mi cuerpo, mi mente incapaz de descifrar, sentí una mala sensación, esa incertidumbre de no saber lo que está en el otro pasillo no me dejaba respirar. Ese pasillo oscuro, lleno de sombras y misterios, solo parecía habitado por el silencio, silencio que hacía ruido y helaba el alma, a veces sentía pisadas otras veces solo lo imaginaba, estaba perdiendo la cordura, mi mente se empezaba a tratocar, solo estaba anclada a ese pasillo que se sentía infinito se veía, pero pronto se acercaba el final, tenía fuerza mi cuerpo y mente para llegar hasta allá, por momentos mis extremidades empezaban a flaquear, no coordinan, actúan sin postura ni equilibrio, algo raro está en el otro pasillo, no hay forma de saberlo por adelantado, las grietas que no existen dejan entrever algo siniestro por suceder.
