The architects of Besonias Almeida have recently completed Casa Aranzazu, a modern concrete and wood house in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which stands on a plot of land surrounded by tall trees.
A large, swiveling wooden entryway greets its owners, and when it's open, it offers a glimpse of the backyard. By penetrating inside, the theme of concrete and wood continues throughout the house. In the living room, a wooden shelf runs along a wall, while large windows flood the room with light. For cooler nights, there is a built-in concrete fireplace with storage for logs. In the kitchen, cabinets and black countertops were combined with concrete shelves. The back of the house opens onto the courtyard, with a covered dining room and bar, as well as a swimming pool. Concrete stairs, visible from the outside thanks to the glazing, lead to the bedroom and its bathroom.
