DIY: Beautiful Ruched Dress with Elastic Thread 👗🏮

Procedimiento/Process

1.Lo primero que debemos hacer es cortar la tela con las medidas de 78x40 cm.

1.The first thing we must do is cut the fabric with the measurements of 78x40 cm.

2.Luego vamos a pasar una costura recta en la parte superior y en la parte inferior haremos una costura en zigzag, hasta completar todo el largo de la tela.

2.Then we are going to pass a straight seam at the top and at the bottom we will make a zigzag seam, until we complete the entire length of the fabric.

3.Seguidamente vamos a enrollar el hilo elástico en la bobina de la máquina, esto de forma manual, no debemos estirar el hilo, cuando culminamos colocamos la bobina de forma normal en la máquina de coser.

3.Next we are going to wind the elastic thread on the spool of the machine, this manually, we must not stretch the thread, when we finish we place the spool in the normal way in the sewing machine.

4.Comenzamos con la costura de fruncido, para ello lo hacemos por la tela al derecho hacia arriba, ya que la costura con el hilo de coser quedará por el derecho y la del elástico por el revés, la primera costura la hacemos normal, es decir sin estirar la tela, hasta llegar al al final y cortamos el hilo.

4.We start with the gathering seam, for this we do it with the fabric to the right side up, since the seam with the sewing thread will be on the right and the elastic on the wrong side, we make the first seam normal, it is say without stretching the fabric, until we reach the end and we cut the thread.

5.Hacemos otra costura aproximadamente a 1,5 a 2 cm de distancia, esta vez estirando la tela, ya que la misma comienza a fruncirse, repetimos este paso hasta completar 10 líneas de costuras ( puedes hacer más o menos, dependiendo como lo desees).

5.We make another seam approximately 1.5 to 2 cm away, this time stretching the fabric, since it begins to pucker, we repeat this step until completing 10 lines of seams (you can do more or less, depending on how you want it ).

6.Una vez que tenemos la tela fruncida doblamos y pasamos una costura recta, para cerrar y dar forma al vestido, también haremos una costura en zigzag para un mejor acabado y la tela no se hilache.

7.Por último vamos a cortar la cinta a 22,5 cm cada uno y coser en la parte superior a ambos lados para los tiros o tirantes del vestido, este es opcional, ya que lo podemos dejar sin estos tiritos y listo un hermoso vestido fruncido.
