Life's Little Lessons

I love humility. It is rare. Humility helps stay sane, not let my roles get to me, keeps me very grounded, stay hungry to learn, connect with people, appreciate my gaps, build credibility & accept my very lower middle class roots. I practice the attitude of gratitude which helps me enable others.

However, I have experienced that humility does not go well. I have had colleagues taking advantage of my humility, people assuming I am not capable of achievements, sometimes have people cross their line, start acting up till a point I need to get more direct with them & call their bluff. When human beings are given too much freedom (humility offers this safe space) we dont know how to use this power most often.

Ironically, arrogant people are considered 'Leaders' easy - why? Cause they throw their weight around? Does humility affect external perception? What do you think? Humility helps?

This is how I feel today! After a few career challenges things are finely turning around. The key has been to look at everything with a fresh perspective.

The catchphrase "There's opportunity when everybody else see's a crisis" has been my mantra. Nothing can beat a positive mindset.

How you think determines how you feel. How you feel determines how you'll act. How you act determines your results.

So how do you develop an all season mindset that can get you through anything?

  1. Keep a daily gratitude tracker
  2. Eliminate toxicity from your network
  3. Take ownership of your thoughts & actions and understand that it's all you
