"Faster! Faster! Faster!" the coach yelled, as the teenage kids tumble-turned one by one as they approached the end of the pool, in synchronization, to swim their last freestyle lap. They have been training hard for 3 months for this national swimming competition which would start tomorrow.

Every afternoon after school, the kids would make their way to the school's designated training center which was 15 minutes away from the school by car. The center has a huge 50 meters Olympic sized pool and they would start their training for 4 hours until 8PM. Their coach would drill and grill them to perfect their strokes, to push them to glide faster and faster in the water.

Rain or shine, that was all they did and boy, some days were scorching hot. During the weekends, they trained in the mornings from 8AM until 12PM. Even their parents were training with them, fetching them to and fro, adjusting their schedules to fit in the coach's timing. These kids were hand picked from all of the 30 state schools and only 8 of them passed the tight selection criteria which explained their level of commitment.

As they finished their training for that day and hopefully for the season before the next competition, two of the kids, Andy and Sam couldn't wait for the competition to start tomorrow. They were all pumped up to compete for sure but most importantly, as Andy said to Sam, "It will be a good break for us all after this competition".
