I was anxiously waiting for a news today. I distracted my mind and busied myself with house chores, starting with a good sweep around the house, in my attempt to not think about it. I went from room to room, to the balcony and then to the kitchen. Then, I moved on to washing to toilets and after that, mopping every section of the house. Next, I worked on folding and keeping my laundry.
Sometimes, life does feel like groundhog days. All these chores just keep repeating itself. It is never ending. Dust always accumulates from goodness knows where.
And then, the much awaited news came midday. Depending on how I looked at it, it could be a glass half full or a glass half empty. I decided to look at it as a glass half full. I continued with the house chores, wiping the sofas and table tops.
As much as I try to look at the news as a glass half full, deep inside, I was saddened by the news. It felt like swirls of cigarette smoke that disappears into the air but the chemical effects stay and moves within the body for an unknown time. Hopefully, with some remedy, the chemical will dissolve and be cleansed from the body.
I am happy though that I hit my 10K mark on my Fitbit today after almost a week of missing the mark. Half glass full.
