Last week, I attended a funeral. What transpired in the life of the deceased years ago and prior to his death is causing me to have double mind right now. Keep on Reading to know what took place in his life time. Maybe, if you're my fellow Nigerian, you'll understand.

As I said earlier, I attended the funeral of one wealthy political free man who have been residing in London ever since his entire life. The man is my uncle though, he doesn't know me and I don't know him too well because I've only seen his picture and heard about him through my parents. From the little I know of him, he's caring and heartless same time. Yes, he cares for whomever he wishes to care for while he treats every other person with contempt. Anyway, let me not go further into his attributes. Let's move on..
Few months ago, we received the news of his ailment and also heard that his immediate family members have encouraged him to come back home now that he's still alive. Yet, he refused, saying that he can only come back to Nigeria in death. Hmmm, too bad. He commenced his treatment over there in London and later, he was transferred to India where he spent months undergoing some treatments.
All proved futile, and his children transferred him to US (united states of America) where he stayed inside one or two machines for weeks. Hehehe, despite all the medications and treatments, all proved abortive. The children kept on managing the condition for extra six months before he kicked off the bucket.
Days later, the children called their kinsmen for proper guideline on how to bury him. After passing through all processes they bestowed upon them, they migrated (lolz) the man's carcass back to Nigeria and gave him a befitted burial last week.
Now, my question is, "Is Nigeria a cemetery?"
Am asking this question because, this man, when alive, spent all his years in London, but as soon as he died, the children came back to Nigeria to bury his carcass. Not just that, our politicians and almost all the wealthy in our country, goes to China and Dubai for shopping, Europe and England for education, resides in US for work and to India whenever they're sick. Once dead, straight to Nigeria.
Huum, it's like Nigeria na cemetery. And am living inside it as one of it's citizens. Hope am not dead?
