IV. Carlos was born in 1748. Carlos created the king of Spain in 1788.
Carlos was incompetent in state administration. Carlos elected his wife and prime minister to run the state. Carlos was more interested in hunting. But a major war of power began in Europe. In particular, England and France were constantly fighting against each other.
The Spanish government was trying to follow the balance policy. But Spain was changing side the government. In this case, it was difficult for other countries to trust Spain. Carlos, however, did not show a fight against these situations and accepted every offer of the parliament.
In 1808, the struggle between Carlos and his son Ferdinand began. And Ferdinand's supporters launched an uprising against Carlos. As a result of this revolt, Carlos resigned from the kingdom. But at that time Napoleon invaded Spain. And taken captive by Carlos Napoleon. Carlos passed away in bondage in 1819.
