Jean ruled France fairly. Jean especially improved the rights of agricultural workers. Jean also wanted everyone in France to live in a free form of religion. Jean has been with the French people against the French nobles. Thus, rebellions against Jean were initiated by the nobles. However, with the support of the French people, Jean ended these rebellions.
Jean passed away in 1364.
