Faramir was born in 2983 of the third age of Tolkien in the middle earth. Faramir and Boromir defended Osgiliath against the Orc attacks. After Boromir went to Rivendell, Faramir defended Osgiliath on his own. At this time Faramir met Frodo, who tried to go to Mordor. Faramir released Fordo instead of taking him to Gondor. Faramir's father is very angry because of that. Shortly after times the Orcs were conquered the Osgiliath. Faramir went to Minas Tirith with a small number of his men. But Denethor said that Faramir should never leave Osgliath. Faramir then attacked Osgiliath. But this attack failed. And Faramir is seriously injured. Denethor tried to burn Faramir, thinking he was dead, and Faramir was liberated by Gandalf. After Faramir woke up, he met Eowyn and fell in love with Eowyn. After the ring was destroyed, Faramir married Eowyn. And Aragorn declared Faramir the Prince of Ithilien. Faramir died in 82 of the fourth age.
