I just finished a 5.608km running that lasted about 0hh:27mm:7ss !

The surprising amount of snow we got last night and this morning almost convinced me not to run. But I felt kind of guilty, so even if it was almost 9pm, I decided I had to go. It was only a few inches of snow, but I needed a little bit of extra gear: waterproof shoes with spikes, gaiters, headlamp (just received yesterday and charged today). I found everything and off I go! It took me a little bit to get used to running with the spikes in the snow (I bought these shoes maybe 2 years ago, but never got a chance to try them before today), and that's why the start was slower than usual. But after a couple of miles, I was back to around 7:30 min/mile, which is not too far off my normal pace. I only ran a little bit more than 3 miles, but that was sufficient for today. I'm planning a hike tomorrow, so I will probably not run though.

Since the snow kind of leveled the terrain, covering all the roots and holes on the trails, I could run in the woods. Lots of fun! I wish I had my phone to snap pictures, but I just really hate running with it. I'll try and take pictures next time I walk there with the dogs at night (which is almost every day of course).

As I wasn't wearing my UA shoes, I tried Samsung Health, instead of MapMyRun, and it's actually pretty good. It reports a lot of data, probably much more than I need.
