I just finished a 10.017km running that lasted about 0hh:43mm:34ss !

Today was a cold one, almost freezing. That's when you're glad with all the progress made with sport apparel. With just a couple layers, I did not feel cold, and I didn't end up sweating like crazy. However, it may be one of my last runs this year wearing shorts. The cover picture is from one of yesterday dog walks, but this is pretty much what I end up seeing every time I go for a run. I'm happy with my visibility vest, I wore it again, and switched it on about half way. I feel safer with it, even on some small streets where people are often careless about pedestrians or runners. Although I didn't see much people or cars along the way.

Finally a pace I am kind of happy with. And I really like the fact every mile splits were consistent around 7min/mile. Final time under 44minutes for 10k, it's back to where I was a few weeks ago, so it's promising. Another good thing is that I didn't plan to run 10k, but I felt good and added a couple of loops to get there.
If I trust my watch HRM, I also like that after a quick initial jump, my average heat rate slowly decreased along the way. I think that confirms I felt good and could have run longer.

And finally a little bit of progress with my cadence. Only 2% in target, but clearly closer to target during at least the first 2 miles. Average at 176 is higher than any recent runs. It makes sense as I clearly made a conscious effort to reduce my stride length and speed it up. Hopefully I can do it longer on next run, until it becomes more natural.

Keep Exhausting!
