I just finished a 1.758km running that lasted about 0hh:6mm:25ss !
Even though it was supposed to be a rest day, and I didn't see any recent post about it, I thought I could go for a short 1mile run, just to participate in the #HiveRun for World Freedom Day. The route is very simple, just around the block.
I'm not really a long-distance runner: except for Detroit half-marathon every year, I rarely run more than 7 miles. But I'm fairly sure it is the shortest run I have ever recorded. Even on my usual runs, I often struggle to regulate my pace, particularly at the beginning. Well, on this one, it was even more so, and I started too fast, without warm up of course. I had to quickly slow down till about the middle when I managed to pick it back up for the end. Final sharp drop is because I was too slow to stop my watch. Cost me a few seconds on my average! Same trend for heart rate: it quickly shot up above 180, dropped a bit, before slowly creeping back up again. I am probably overanalyzing the data for just a 1mile run...
Anyways, my #HiveRun is done. Tomorrow will probably be a real rest day, except maybe a recovery bike ride, and of course long walks with the dogs.
