I have Scary Mary, my outside cat, now living down my basement to get through the cold weather. I have to be careful opening the basement door, because she will be right there to greet me. If she gets in the house or one of my 10 house cats gets passed me World War III might break out.

I was going downstairs the other day with food in my left hand and my canon 630A camera in my right hand. Scary was right there as usual at my feet, rubbing against my ankles, making it hard for me to walk.

That's when the camera slipped out of my hand and bounced off the entrance landing. From there it proceeded to bounce all the way down the stairs until it hit the cement floor.

Scary Mary scooted down as well. All I could do was watch.

I picked up the camera believing the worst. To my surprise there wasn't a mark on it. Took it out side to check it out with some snap shots. Worked fine and still does. They sure make these digital cameras tough.

Here's what the camera looks like.

PS ... There was no butter on my fingers.
