I read somewhere that fewer than 200 corporations are responsible for 80% of the carbon emissions in the whole world, and yet we are told to "do our bit" by wearing an extra sweater in -50c Calgary

DeSo is much newer and has a smaller user base (around 1/3 of Hive I think), it's all early days. Heck, remember when Twitter started? Most people on there would tweet once at the start of the day to say

Interesting, I have to admit anything to do with law or math makes my brain hurt :) My former boss is a USA lawyer and he has a creator coin on Rally so I wonder what the difference is ...

I thought they were only a security if you promised a financial reward for holding them?

It's not much different to Hive really. Here on Hive there are cliques and power brokers too, and most people who create on Hive don't get noticed either. My take is it is all early days for all of it,

As someone who has managed communities and communication before the difference and benefits simply can't be overlooked. As have I, which means I have seen people accidentally and maliciously share things

If people wanted instagram/twitter types of communities they would be thriving on legacy social media Which they are, they are thriving. TikTok is one of the highest traffic sites on the web, YouTube is

NFTs almost always keep the "payload" off the blockchain anyway, that is why the joke is when you are buying an NFT you are really buying a receipt for a URL that may or may not resolve into

Hmmm good idea! Anything in particular confusing?

There are a few popular front ends to Hive, so Hive is highly centralized. If a naked picture of you, or your SSN were shared on the Hive blockchain, you would be grateful of that centralization

Hive solves that problem like no other blockchain. DeSo does instagram/twitter type community extremely well (without adding second layers or annoying people who don't want lots of low-value posts on layer

Wholeheartedly agree, ETH has mindshare and the market, but until ETH2 the technology is lacking.

I am glad people like you can interpret the math because anything with more than simple addition makes my head spin. Also glad to see the whales are buying the dips. Does make me wonder how often they

when they cast a spell, they forget it This always bugged me, and I don't like how wizards need to have a wing of a bat in their bag just in case (seems more like witchcraft IMO). One of my favourite parts

Hive used this way is a forum, just with rewards, you would still need tabs open or bookmarks to follow them? Don't get me wrong, I love how Hive is like a blockchain reddit, but it is not THAT different

Vulnerabilities of centralized systems have been popping up again last week only further proving the arguments against them. Blockchain can't prevent phishing, those attacks are against human frailty

I am trying to fix in my mind the idea that this is the time to focus on building foundations. As some people say, "crypto is on sale" which would be fine if my RBC credit card allowed me to

I would like to see it being a more friendly version of the Canada/Province/City reddits :) It would be a shame if it became generic, so if someone, say, talks about crypto let's have it be Crypto IN CANADA

TOQUE (token, get it!?) :D

It’s like hive, there are a few front-ends
