How are you Open Mic friends? We meet again in this week 124 in which the proposed theme is Moonshine chosen by our friend @anna-newkey. I want to highlight in this opportunity the art that our friend @cabelinday gives us which captivated me with those black and gold gradients, a beauty.

I think there are many songs to the moon and I'm sure we will see great presentations in this weekly edition. I would like to share a song by the well-remembered Tío Simón, called Tonada de Luna Llena (Full Moon Tonada), which was released in 1965, belonging to the album Criollo y Sabroso.

A tonada is a very characteristic genre of Venezuelan folklore, more specifically, from the plains, and perhaps its intonation could sound a bit melancholic. This type of song is used for the milking of the cows very early in the morning.

Something I have always enjoyed about Tío Simón's songs is his way of presenting different situations, always in the form of stories or fables, and this case is no exception. According to the story of this song, the cow that Tío Simón is milking is called Luna Llena (Full Moon) and that is why they sing this soft tune full of immense love so that the milking can flow. ¿Qué tal amigos de Open Mic? Volvemos a reunirnos en esta semana 124 en la que el tema propuesto es Moonshine escogido por la amiga @anna-newkey. Quiero destacar en esta oportunidad el arte que nos regala nuestro amigo @cabelinday, el cual me cautivó con esos degradados negros y dorados, una belleza.

Cantos a la luna, creo que hay muchísimos y estoy segura de que veremos grandes presentaciones en esta entrega. Yo quiero compartir un tema del recordado Tío Simón, llamado Tonada de Luna Llena, que salió en el año 1965, perteneciente al álbum Criollo y Sabroso.

Una tonada es un género muy característico del folklore venezolano, más específicamente, del llano, y quizás su entonación podría sonar un poco melancólica. Este tipo de cantos se usan para el ordeño de las vacas bien temprano en la mañana.

Algo que siempre he disfrutado de las canciones del Tío Simón, es su manera de presentar diversas situaciones, siempre en forma de cuentos o fábulas, este caso no es la excepción. Según la historia de este tema, la vaca que está ordeñando Tío Simón se llama Luna Llena y es por eso que le cantan esta suave tonada llena de inmenso amor para que pueda fluir el ordeño.
