Hello friends, the classic that I bring you next is one that many of us loved because it was out of the standards of the moment, because there was a mix between real characters and animated characters, when I was a child and saw this movie on television I enjoyed it a lot because I loved the sympathy of Roger and the other cartoons, but obviously when you watch the film again as an adult you notice some details that were previously unnoticed and you begin to see it with a different approach.

Hola amigos, el clásico que les traigo a continuación es uno que muchos amamos debido a que se salía de los estándares del momento, debido a que había una mezcla entre personajes reales y personajes animados, cuando yo era niña y veía esta película en televisión la disfrutaba mucho porque me encantaba la simpatía de Roger y de los demás dibujos animados, pero obviamente cuando vuelves a ver el film siendo un adulto tedas cuenta de algunos detalles que antes pasaban desapercibidos y comienzas a verla con un enfoque diferente.

Roger Rabbit is a famous and successful cartoon character who suddenly gets a rumour that his wife, Jessica, is cheating on him with businessman Marvin Acme, so the company the rabbit works for decides to hire the services of Eddie Valiant who is a badass detective, So he takes some very compromising photographs of Jessica talking to the businessman, so Roger collapses with sadness and soon after Acme is found dead, which is why the rabbit is the prime suspect, so he quickly goes to find Eddie to help him prove his innocence.

This film has too many elements that catch my attention, but first of all I must mention the obvious, and that is the fact that there is a mix between real scenery and characters with some animated ones, and although this was not the first film to use this method, which was used in 1914 with the film "Gertie the Dinosaur" Who Framed Roger Rabbit it was known for the wonderful and fluid way in which we saw the animated characters move in a real environment, the special effects were superb, especially for the 80s, and in fact this film has aged tremendously well in that respect, and I think it was this and the public's acceptance of it that allowed it to be part of the Library of Congress National Film Registry as being culturally, historically and aesthetically very important.

Esta película tiene demasiados elementos que llaman mi atención, pero en primer lugar debo mencionar lo evidente, y es el hecho de que haya una mezcla entre escenarios y personajes reales con algunos animados, y aunque esta no fue la primera película en usar este método, el cual fue usado en 1914 con el film "Gertie the Dinosaur" Who Framed Roger Rabbit fue conocida por la manera tan maravillosa y fluida en la que vimos a los personajes animados moverse en un entorno real, los efectos especiales estuvieron de lujo, sobre todo para ser los 80, y de hecho esta película ha envejecido tremendamente bien en ese aspecto, y creo que tanto esto como la aceptación del público fue lo que le permitió ser parte del Registro Nacional de Cine de la Biblioteca del Congreso de USA por ser muy importante a nivel cultural, histórico y estético.

Goodness gracious! The animated characters actually interact with the real ones, they are not just standing next to them, and the movements look absolutely natural, the animated characters don't look overlapping, obviously the camera shots also help this to happen and also the way the flesh and blood characters react.

Another aspect that caught my attention is that this film does not have a defined genre, it has comedy, certainly animation, but at the same time we also see that it is about murder and detectives, Eddie's brother was killed by a cartoon, so he is very bitter and seems to hate everything that has to do with animated characters, but in spite of everything his nobility encourages him to believe in Roger and try to help him.

Otro de los aspectos que llama mi atención es que esta película no tiene un genero definido, pues tiene comedia, desde luego animación, pero al mismo tiempo también vemos que se trata de asesinatos y detectives, el hermano de Eddie fue asesinado por un dibujo animado, por eso es muy amargado y parece odiar todo lo que tenga que ver con los personajes animados, pero a pesar de todo su nobleza lo incita a creer en Roger e intentar ayudarlo.

The film has a PG rating, which means that it requires parental supervision for children to see it, but honestly I think that despite how appealing the film may be to children, it is not at all suitable for them, as there are complex situations that they would not understand, there are also jokes for adults, like when someone asks Jessica if Roger is a better lover than a comedian and she, with a raised eyebrow and some mischief, answers yes, but the most shocking scene was the one where the villain of the story takes a small shoe and dips it in a melting solution, while the poor creature writhes in pain, and slowly disappears before everyone's eyes, it was something very unpleasant for the children of the time.

I also liked the development that Eddie had as a character, because finally and thanks to Roger he managed to overcome his aversion to cartoons, because the film shows that everything has light and darkness, even cartoons, which everyone considers adorable or funny, in this film there are really sadistic and dark characters like Judge Doom or as tender, funny and adorable as Roger Rabbit himself.

También me gustó el desarrollo que tuvo Eddie como personaje, pues finalmente y gracias a Roger logró superar su aversión hacia los dibujos animados, pues la película demuestra que todo tiene luz y oscuridad, incluso los dibujos animados, a los que todos consideran adorables o graciosos, en esta película hay personajes realmente sádicos y oscuros como el juez Doom o tan tiernos, graciosos y adorables como el propio Roger Rabbit.
