Ice cream mooncake @ Inside Scoop

Hi Steemian, mooncake festival is coming soon! Of course, as a food lover, I won’t miss out this. But I not really like to eat traditional mooncake, so I found another type of mooncake which is Ice-cream mooncake can eat as dessert and healthy also.

This handcrafted ice cream mooncake is from Inside Scoop Malaysia. For your information, Inside Scoop Malaysia is a quite famous ice cream shop in Malaysia and currently have 23 outlets in Malaysia.

Why is so special for this ice cream shop? How can it fight with those branded ice cream shop such as Godiva, Baskin Robin?

The answer is this shop will make their own ice cream daily and freshly by using premium ingredients, without artificial flavoring or preservatives. This is the reason that I love the ice cream so much there.

Ok, back to the topic. Inside Scoop Malaysia recently comes out ice cream mooncake for mid-autumn festival. This year it also make the biggest ice cream mooncake in town which is 7.5 inch. The biggest ice cream mooncake named as Supermoon which is based with a layer of crunchy and nutty, followed by freshly churned Pistachio ice cream with a layer of raspberry jelly at the middle and wrapped in a snow skin.

There are four flavors for regular size ice cream mooncake:

Unicorn with raspberry yolk mooncake
This unicorn (yogurt flavor) ice cream is free from the artificial coloring because the blue color is taken from blue pea flowers and pink color is from raspberries and mix together to become unicorn color. A raspberry yolk is stuffed into the ice cream and wrapped in a snow skin. I personally love this most!

Durian with Chocolate yolk mooncake
This will be the favorite for all durian lover. D24 durian ice cream with a chocolate yolk and wrapped in snow skin.

Chocolate mooncake
This mooncake is made of Rocher ice cream with crunchy based and coated with strawberry flavored chocolate but I not really like this because its sweetness overload for me. But, chocolate lover must not miss this!

Matcha with black sesame yolk mooncake
This mooncake consist of matcha ice cream paired with a black sesame yolk and coated with a passion fruit flavored chocolate.

The regular mooncakea are packed into boxes. There are 4-piece box (RM 100) and 2-piece box (RM60) for you to choose. For 2-piece box, it only get Unicorn and Rocher mooncake (if not mistaken).

When I reached the shop(a bit late), it almost sold out because I forgot to reserve it online. So I only able to get 2-piece box. Every box inside have a plastic knife and four small forks for you to enjoy the ice cream mooncake.

As I mention previously, I love the unicorn one, because it won’t make you feel greasy of the sweetness due to it’s yogurt flavor.
