Good morning.
My Other Castle is not made of bricks or gold, and it doesn’t sit on a mountaintop. It’s the quiet place in my heart and mind where I go when life gets too loud. Even though it isn't a building, it feels real to me, like a second home. It’s where I store my peace, my dreams, and the version of myself that still believes things can get better, even when the outside world says otherwise.
Lately, life has been heavy. accumulating bills, not being understood by others, and circumstances that feel out of my control. There were days when I felt like I was standing in a storm without a place to hide and was drowning in worry. That’s when I remembered my other castle. It’s that deep part of me that still laughs when everything around feels sad. It’s the part that whispers, “You’ve been through worse. You will also get through this. It’s not about escaping reality it’s about surviving it with hope.
In this other castle, I remind myself of the people who truly care about me, even if they’re far away or quiet at the moment. I remember moments that made me feel alive—simple things like someone holding my hand or a breeze that smelled like rain. These small memories build the walls of my castle, strong enough to hold me up when I feel like falling.
My other castle is not about hiding. It’s about recharging, refocusing, and returning to life stronger than before. Everyone needs that special place inside, where the world can’t reach them. For me, it’s not a fantasy it’s a lifeline. And each time I enter it, I return to reality feeling a lot braver, clearer, and more prepared to face whatever comes next.
