It was obviously a bit overlooked, people discussing about BTC and BCC/BCH and a possible Segwit2X hardfork in November. Lots of noise on this front.
What most forget, this month we will have another hardfork of Ethereum (Byzantium), making it 3 ETH coins (Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and an to be named one). This should happen end of September, possibly October latest, which is the end of an announced timeframe of 3...6 months for this.
Another, third hardfork named Constantinople is also scheduled to complete the planned upgrades to Ethereum, but no timelines are known yet for this.
Nobody knows what will happen, but as we have seen from the previous fork as well as the recent BTC split, I would expect the "second" (or rather third) Ethereum sibling to come out on about 1/10...1/15 of the price of the mother. Which is not bad at all. And there will be a fourth.
So keep your ETH this month at least and double or triple them into whatever the new coins will be called.
