Wow! It's less than 20 days prior to THE FIRST STEEMIT #TEAMMALAYSIA PHOTOBOOTH CHALLENGE!
Wow! another wow thought crosses my mind as I sit here on Tanjung Aru beach, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, North Borneo, waiting to witness another one of nature's wonders... as the sun gently glides away on the distant horizon, another glorious and beautiful sunset! The picture above is of today's sunset at one of the top ten places to view the most beautiful sunsets in the world.
As I sit and await what the people of Sabah take for granted but for the many who have gathered on this beach from around the world to witness, in hopeful anticipation, as something quite spectacular, I am able to contemplate on the reason why I decided to join one of the world's largest organisations tailored to the needs and interests of women - Soroptomist International! The noble ideals and mission of this charter is to uplift, train and inspire women to make a significant change in order for them to make an impactful difference in their lives and for those around them. As a member albeit a passive one, my pledge has been to endeavor to strive continuously towards this goal and I have discovered that Steemit could be just the enabler to achieve these objectives.
Marking International Peace Day yesterday, I would like to make a pledge to my readers at Steemit and to the ideals for which it stands;
