Recently I've started running ads on Facebook for my science fiction novels. So far, one ad has done okay and another is performing somewhat poorly. All of the art so far has been done with AI + Gimp. Presently, I'm working on designing ad number three, for my book The Ostermann Method. Below are four possibilities for this advertisement.

TOMad1.jpg

This image was generated with stable diffusion using the prompt 'silhouettes of women dancing in a field of grass at sunset.'

TOMad2.jpg

This image was generated with stable diffusion using the prompt 'silhouettes of women dancing in trees at sunset.'

TOMad3.jpg

This image was generated with stable diffusion using the prompt 'a complex machine made of copper and aluminum, with a satellite dish, a small display screen, and wires.'

TOMad4.jpg

This image was generated with stable diffusion using the prompt 'thousands of small precious opals arranged in elaborate design on a wood floor.'

Personally, I favor numbers two and four. But my taste may not reflect the preferences of my intended audience. Would any of these images inspire you to buy a book from an author you'd never heard of?
