Champions League is back and we are all excited to see who's hot in Season 7. In this post you will find all you need to know about the Group Phase.
Champions League, Group Phase
Group A
@matthew1 will be obviously aiming at defending the title from Season 6. It doesn't come easy, though. In previous seasons only
@manuvert managed to win twice in a row.
@bucipuci and
@mariya36 were the two top players of the last @Poliac League One. Too bad both got into the same group!
@practicaleric for the second time in a row got into the group phase as Lucky Loser. Will he survive in a group full of stars?

Group B
@sandraa1 won last season's Consolation Cup and will try to prove she is up to playing in the Champions League.
@@@roger5120 and
@danmaruschak are two Americans that debut in Champions League. They both did very well in the latest @Poliac tournament and both stormed easily thru Eliminations.
@homesteadlt is mostly focused with building his sustainable homestead, but by doing so he makes quite a lot of steps

Group C
Note:
@masoom should have been in this group, based on his rank. However he hasn't been active recently, therefore
@sk1920 takes his place, as the player with the highest score among the losing sides of Round 2 of Champions League eliminations.
@flaxz is Champions League regular, always solid performance, although without any trophies in his cupboard yet.
@racibo's focus is his own
@actifit competition, called
@poprzeczka. As both tournaments start at the same time, he may go far here - only if he remembers when the Matc hdays are..

Group D
Eve though the player walk in three countries, the group can be called "Poland's Championship", as all the players here are Polish.
@merthin won the title twice in the past and always makes it into the quarterfinals.
@browery is the most "unsatisfied" player in the game - 4 semifinals and once runner-up, but still waiting for his first title.
@cezary-io is another Champions League regular but most of the times finishes 3rd in the group phase.
Last but not least,@ilodz24hd might be the "black horse" in this group.

What's Next
The two top players of each group advance to the Quarterfinals. The brackets are not known yet. Group winners will form a table sorted on their total score and so will 2nd place players. Then the best player from 1st place will be paired with the weakest from 2nd and so on.
Players who finish 3rd don't end the season - they will be transferred to Consolation Cup Quarterfinals. They will be seeded there, according to their total score in the group phase.
Ranking Table
Players get points for advancing into a round and for each win and tie. The ranking is 4-seasons rolling, with weights decreasing as seasons pass. It determines the following Season's automatic admission and seeding in the qualifiers. The following Ranking Table will change as the season 7 unfolds. It will be used for Season 8 admission and qualifiers.
In Season 8, 6 slots are reserved for:
- Season 7 Champions League Winner
- Season 7 Consolation Cup Winner
- Edition 7 (March 2022) @Poliac League One Winner (
- April Edition of
- two highest ranked players after the above
Next 9 players from the Ranking Table (after those who get one of the reserved slots) will start Eliminations into Season 8 from the second round and will be seeded there. They will be joined by
Finally, the subsequent 8 players will start eliminations in round 1 and will be seeded there. All remaining player and new comers will have first to battle thru pre-qualifications.
