At last!
I didn’t have to go back and forth to the hospital anymore. Yesterday was the moving day after 17 days of going back and forth. We’re thankful that we can go back home for now.
Since we’ve been at the hospital, we’ve seen plenty of deaths and it feels pretty weird. But by now, we have gotten used to it. Some deaths weren't easy and chaotic but some were quiet. Maybe after all hospital is the true in-between. Some people fight for their lives, some give up, some have really have to go and their time is up.
After going back home, we still have a few more hospital visits. I can only hope we don’t have to go through hospital again because it was also the longest time in my mom and my life. While I know the battle isn't stopping here, I can only hope after this, it will be a lot easier.
As a self-reward, I got myself an ice cream that tastes like macchiato. I was pretty surprised by how it was stacked, the frozen coffee was on the bottom and the ice cream was on top so it has to be eaten when the coffee melted. While it’s not the best ice cream brand, it tasted pretty decent. It was a sweet reward after a long day moving our luggage and things from the hospital.
