What is your best investment?
My journey to financial literary started when family filed a bankruptcy.I wondered what was wrong with how my parents managed their business and capital. As a kid, I was growing up with the idea that money is not something I have to worry about. It's not that I always grew up modest but my parents taught me to be happy with less. So, money was the least I thought about. Virtue comes first before money.
But then, I grew up. I learned a thing and two about life. Money, wealth and fame are everything. It is the distinction between one person to another, regardless where we come from. Long short, I decided to pursue money and tried to learn how people got wealthy.
I finally understood that I was not taught the idea of " investing". Investing was something foreign to me as if it was only for the ultra zillionaire. So, my very investment that I was proud of was having a few grams of gold.
But since I experienced living in a disaster prone area, I understand why gold is not feasible. It can be lost and difficult to carry around and could risk your life (petty thief, mugging, etc). So yeah, this is where I think cryptocurrency has been my most favorite investment.
I have been stacking litecoin and bitcoin. These two remain my favorites other than ETH. I got into crypto before the boom and because of them, I was able to live well until today and support my university journey on the side.
Moving forward, I am still trying to understand money and tries to expand my knowledge on different investment instruments. Lately, I am interested in penny stocks but the entry to it is a bit more complicated than investing in cheap coins on cryptocurrency.
