Still, in the holiday spirit, I decided to take my mom to have a coffee date. She is not usually fond of drinking coffee, but because it's her first time visiting a cafe with me, she decided to drink coffee instead of picking a non-coffee option.
We went to a cafe called Behaviour cafe. Before picking this cafe, I was researching some coffee shop that is nomad friendly. It was quite tricky finding one with everything a nomad needs; fast, reliable wifi and a good coffee. I already know a place that I use to go to because the place is calm and empty. But because I want to take my mom to the heart of the city and tried a hip coffee shop, I skipped the option.
Behavior coffee is another small coffee shop in the city with a more cheerful interior. Unlike many rustic and industrial theme coffee shop, this coffee shop offers a different ambiance. Soft yellow hues and plywood color mostly dominate the color of the interior. It is also decorated with succulents and some plants.
The place offers two seating options, indoor and outdoor. The seating is quite comfortable, with a socket on each table except the outdoor one. Another feature of this cafe is a praying room and toilet, accessible unlike many coffee shops in the city. Considering how small the place is, that makes sense. Given the whole interior, it makes the visitor feels at home.
Price-wise, it was reasonably priced for the coffee offered. There were only coffee and non-coffee drinks with simple snack options such as fries and croissants. I don't think I will go to this place because it is too crowded for my liking.
In this coffee shop, I tried a rose latte. I don't think I quite like how sweet the coffee was. I already ordered non-sweetened coffee, but it was still sugary for my liking.
I plan on taking her to a coffee date at least once a week during her break. It is fun hanging out with her and sampling places. However, whenever I go out with her, I generally don't take many pictures. In the future, I will take as much as many photos as I can.
My mom is also my best friend. We have been traveling together since 2019, especially since I decided it would be fun to have a more reliable companion than a stranger. I enjoy going out with new friends, but my mom will always be the perfect companion during my travel. Besides, she looks more like my older sister than my mom.
During our coffee date, we talk about our future traveling plans. My mom has more backpacker soul than I do. She is the type of person who will not mind bringing food from home, taking a public bus, and squeezing herself in a crowded minibus. My mom's motto has always been " I have been there" instead of trying all the fancy attractions available in the city/province. Because of her, we managed to squeeze our budget plan whenever we travel together. It's a plus for me because I am someone who picks convenience above all. This convenience often comes at a hefty price.
We have some places in mind in 2021. We plan areas outside the city where it's cheap to visit and more comfortable, considering the current curfew rules due to covid-19. We also wait after people stopped going on holiday so prices will be lower, especially for transportation.
