Hello Hivers MZ here. How are you there? This is my 2nd fanart here on @splinterlands Community , and for this blog I draw the Fire Beettle from Fire Unit in my own style,

Process:

First Step:

Sketching, first I draw my line art . Until I hit the good shape of the beetle.

Then I started to clean it, and give more details on my line art. Details likes spikes and horns are pretty cool, so I added it.

Now the whole beetle is done lets proceed to next step,

But before that let me darken the background coz it's already 11PM my eyes cant take too much light.

Second Step:

Applying colors, I painted its carapace and legs with black.

Then some other colors in the other parts,

After that I put the highlights on its body and legs.

Next is I brushed it with darker color, darker than the base color.

Third Step:

Setting the Fire, we all know that the Fire Beetle has fire on its back so we will try our best to make that fire as far as we can. First, I create a base image for fire.

Then apply the ember effects.

Then the fire....and count down 3 .... 2 .... 1....

Fuushshhhhhhhh!!!!

After that adding highlights again this time its for the fires reflections.

Fourth Step:

Last but not the least the background, I forget to save the background that I created before I blurred it, sorry for that.

In the last panel I made a scene where the beetle is floating in the lava.

I also saved a GIF file for all the process
