Oh I've done those kind of things in the past as well. It is interesting how differently people identify themselves. Personally, I am trying to avoid labels and roles unless it is something I am really passionate about. Most of the time I just see myself as this strange being placed here to explore. Perhaps, people put the roles on to belong or be part of something, to feel less lonely.
