Extinct - Ink drawing, 21x16 cm, 2021
I went with a skull for this one. It did not take me long to know exactly where to take it while looking at my brightest colored inks. The killer combination, honestly!
It had been a while since I had drawn a skull, so I used this reference image to help me out. For the background, I sketched a swirly pattern. It did not look like much at first, but as I filled in the blank spaces between the pattern with the black Pigma Brush pen, I knew it would transform it into awesomeness. The black spaces mixed perfectly with the black features of the skull and tied it all together.
In comes the Diamine purple drawing ink for the skull! I am so happy with how the shading of the skull worked out. What do you think? I then added the Diamine drawing inks Teal and Peacock in the background pattern. If the skull wasn’t popping out of the page before, then now it is for sure! Killer! ^^ I did not feel the need to add anything else. I love it! It is a contender to the favorite spot in which the collide sat comfortably for a while.
What do you think about how humanity ends?
