Loop - Ink/coffee drawing, was 21x16 cm, 2021
For a loop, I imagined a path that makes a little loop. So I decided to create an old map kind of drawing. There was a whole process this drawing went through to make it look like it has sat on a shelf somewhere, possibly in a form of a scroll while collecting dust for a century or two. Ha!
I started with a sketch that I lined with my tortured, standing on the last leg, Pigma Brush pen. I then added stars in the lake and little specks on the trees using the white Gelly Roll liner. After that, it was time. For what? Flames of hell! Nah! I lit a candle to burn the edges of the paper to make it look more like an old map. They say don’t play with fire kids! Bwahaha! I say, play with fire, kids! But, of course, be careful, and keep a cup of water next to you. It was a slow burner xD
Finally, to solidify the old map look, I made some coffee to stain the paper. What do you think of my loopy pathway map?
Feel the burn!
