Maybe you only realized that you’d put on a lot of weight because you saw a reflection of yourself in a shop's window while passing by.

It all began during the lockdown period when all I did was eat, sleep, and watch movies, I never realized the effect it might have on me.

One day I decided to declutter my closet and revamp old outfits, I intended to take them to my tailor, but when I started to fit in some of my clothes, they wouldn't fit anymore.

My husband told me it was because I had added weight which I didn't agree to.
So I asked him to take a shot of me with his phone which he did.

What I saw surprised me, that image of mine that was reflected through the camera lens was chubby, very chubby, I still didn't believe it, yes, you can call me a doubting Thomas, so I went straight to my room, I have a tape measurement rule, I decided to use it to measure myself, turns out that truly I had gained weight.

I was not so happy with it because my tummy added weight too, which meant I will have to work out to keep fit.
I and my husband started the workout every workout and it wasn't so easy to keep up.

Some days I will give excuses why I couldn't partake in the workout, but he kept encouraging me.

I also reduced my intake of junk, and carbonated drinks and decided to use the rest of my lockdown period to do productive things, that was when I learned how to make liquid soap, the process of turning the soap is enough to make me lose weight. Lol.

As time passed by, I noticed my tummy had reduced and I was now in good shape, I took more shots to compare the before and after which proved I had worked hard to keep fit.

Since then, whenever I take pictures, I ensure to check if I wasn't adding fat to my tummy, I always zoom my pictures to be very sure of what I saw, I don't mind having a chubby face, but fat in my tummy is a no-no for me.
